When Trendler, Inc. began business as Trendler Metal Products in 1932, our first factory was located on the south side of Chicago at 63rd and Hoyne. We moved into our current facility near Midway Airport in 1997 as we changed our name to Trendler, Inc. One thing that hasn’t changed in the move from our original location to our current facility is that we still produce all of our furniture components and finished products in-house.
Our current 160,000 square foot manufacturing facility features the industry’s best in class equipment that allows us to build high quality barstools, chairs, and swivels. Every part of the manufacturing process for all Trendler products is done in-house and we have our own Research and Development team that allows us to stay ahead of the products and process innovation curve. Our on-site American National Standards Institute/ Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association testing facilities allow for total quality management procedures that assure the quality and dependability of the products manufactured in our Chicago, IL facility.
Our team of experienced and professional craftsmen use innovative manufacturing resource planning techniques to produce the highest quality and most dependable swivels, chairs, and barstools for our domestic and international customers. As an industry leader, we are committed to sustainable work environments and business practices.
Made to Order Chair and Barstool Factory
At Trendler, we have a made-to-order business model in which all of the products we manufacture are made to order. This helps us provide more accurate pricing and lead times for our customers and cut down on inventory, saving space in our facility. This business model also offers our customers more freedom of choice while a made-to-stock business model limits customer choice.
As mentioned above, the manufacturing processes for all of our items are done in-house. We build and maintain our own progressive stamping dies, welding fixtures, and injection molding dies to fabricate and assembly metal components. We also integrate multiple technologies into the manufacturing process to produce the finished product including plastic injection molding, production metal stamping, robotic mig welding, upholstery, powder coating, wood finishing, tube fabrication, and complex assembly.
Our fixtures, dies, and equipment are designed and built by our in-house Research and Development team to create a high-quality product. You can expect a reliable, trouble-free, American made chair or barstool when you work with Trendler.
American Made Chairs, Barstools, and Swivels
Our best-in-class equipment allows us to manufacture chairs, barstools, and swivels that are built to last:
- Chairs and barstools: Our finished chairs and barstools are made entirely in our factory. We can fabricate wood and metal frames and parts and assemble them together to create a durable product. We also can handle the painting, wood staining, powder coating, and upholstery to produce the finished product.
- Swivels: We have long been one of the world’s leading swivel manufacturers. Our swivel plates are fabricated in our factory to suit any application and assembled by hand with the ball bearings between them for noiseless, fluid motion. We also add a protective powder coating that helps them last.
